Saturday, April 11, 2009 ( How are you going to finish this race? @ 12:26 AM ) But we got to face this fact that sometimes we will fall in this race. So the question is what are we going to do when we fall down? The ten year series answer will be "get back up." We know we got to get back up or else we cant start walking if we don't get up, we wont get anywhere. But sometimes in life when we fall down, we feel like we don't have the strength to get back up. We can try 100 times and still fail. But the problem is if we give up after trying, we will never get up. We can try again and again and again and again. If we don't give up, its not the end. Its how we going to finish this race. Are we going to finish this race strong? Are we able to stand up after we fall, no matter how many times we try? Proverbs 24:16 "For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again." Isaiah 41:13 "For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear, I will help you." God is always the one that support us while we go through our trails. Footprints One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it: "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The LORD replied: "My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." Indeed, when we go through our valleys. God is actually carrying us, He never leaves us alone while we struggles. So yeahx, God is great. 0 comments |
